Milk & Cookies

Cream with tan undertones and a slight sheen

Ingredients: Silk Mica (Mica (77019), Boron Nitride, L-Lysine Mica (Mica 77019 and Lauroyl Lysine), Caranuba Mica (Mica 77019 and Caranuba Wax), Magnesium Stearate, Magnesium Myristate, Zinc Stearate ((+/- Mica (Mica 77019), Fractionated Coconut Oil (Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891) Vitamin E (Tocopherol), Silk Powder, Allantoin, Chromium Hydroxide Green (CI77289), Chromium Green (CI77288), Carmine, Iron Oxide (CI 77499, 77491, 77492), Tin Oxide (CI 778161), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Ferric Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), Ultramarines (77007), Silica, *Synthetic Flurophylogopite, Zinc (CI 77947), Bronze and Copper Powder (CI 77400), Nylon 12, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Potassium Sorbate, Hexylene Glycol))

***Silk Mica is natural and is similar to sericite mica but its silkier, whiter and offers a soft, smooth texture that is mattifying.
WHY WE USE IT: we use this version of Mica because it is silkier and softer then regular sericite mica. This helps to make our shadows feel more luxurious. The price for this powder is about double what regular sericite mica is because of how silky smooth it applies - we think it is worth it!

***Boron Nitride is a soft, silky white mineral powder that adds slip and adhesion to a product. It is soft and adds supreme creaminess to the powder. Boron Nitride is a natural, inert mineral.

***Caranuba Wax Mica this is a Sericite Mica that has been surface treated with Carnauba Wax, the wax coating helps bind the particles so the formulas have less fly away when pressed. This also imparts great skin feel with amazingly smooth and light finish.

***Titianium Dioxide is a natural mineral used to whiten and makes a product more opaque.

***Magnesium Stearate is a chemical compound of Magnesium (element, same as in vitamins) and Stearate (plant derived).

***Magnesium Myristate is the combination of Magnesium (a mineral) and Myristate a fatty acid (naturally occurring). Magnesium Myristate will add adhesion, slip, soft feel and helps to repel water.

***Zinc Stearate made from natural and essential raw material. If you choose to press your powders having this in the base helps your powders press more easily

***Fractionated Coconut Oil (we use this to bind our Powders) - fraction of coconut oil comprised mainly of Capric and Caprylic Acid thus giving it more of an antioxidant and disinfecting effect. Has a long shelf life, stability and rancidity resistant.

***Colored Micas add color, shimmer and shine to the product.

***Nylon12 is a powder we use to help with the slip in some of our deeper more pigmented shades.

***Oxides are natural minerals and add color to the product, also helps with making the product opaque.

***Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Potassium Sorbate, Hexylene Glycol - Preservative we use to preserve our eyeshadows and make them last longer. This is used at about .2% of the total weight

    Milk & Cookies

First of all - how cute is this name ? :) Makes me wanna get some yummy cookies whenever I use it lol. Its a super versatile off white cream color with a light lovely sheen that can be used in so many different ways ! And of course its just the most perfect everyday natural-ish (compared to matte white) browbone highlight. Not too shimmery, not too matte, not too dark, not too light :)

    Perfect Shimmer

This shadow is a perfect shimmer shadow. It is great under the brow. I also use it over matte shadows when I want to add a slight shimmer.

    Just What I Wanted!

Posted by Carla Norris on Sep 11th 2019

I wanted an eyeshadow that is:
    - From a cruelty-free company
    - Reasonably priced
    - Neutral-cool pale cream, with a
    satin finish
    - Available as a single

Milk & Cookies checks all these boxes!
The Sydney Grace site describes Milk & Cookies as “cream with tan undertones and a slight sheen,” and that’s accurate, though I’d classify the sheen as more than “slight.” There is, mercifully, NO glitter, though.
Milk & Cookies is *very* pigmented, so if you want a subtle effect, use a light touch. As for the color, Milk & Cookies *is* a pale cream, and it does have some undertones that I find difficult to describe – they’re not yellow, not pink, and not really brown/tan, either. “Taupe” is the best I can do; Milk & Cookies is that rare neutral-to-cool cream, which is exactly what I wanted.
It makes a wonderful inner corner and browbone highlight, lending an ethereal effect to my green eyes and NW15 skin.
Milk & Cookies wears tenaciously on my very oily skin, especially with a good primer underneath.
The pan fits perfectly into one of ColourPop’s shadow compacts.
If you have fair skin and like neutral eyeshadows, you need Milk & Cookies.

The first time i used this, i went a little bit too heavy handed and making my eye look wash out. It's absolutely beautiful but a little goes a very long way!
