***Silk Mica is natural and is similar to sericite mica, but it is silkier, whiter, and offers a soft, smooth texture.
***Boron Nitride is a soft, silky, white mineral powder that adds slip and adhesion to a product. Boron Nitride is soft, adds supreme creaminess to the powder, and is a natural, inert mineral.
***Carnauba Wax Mica is Sericite Mica that has been surface treated with Carnauba Wax; the wax coating helps bind the particles, so the formulas have less fly away when pressed.
***Titanium Dioxide is a natural mineral used to whiten, and it makes a product more opaque.
***Magnesium Stearate is a chemical compound of Magnesium (element, same as in vitamins) and Stearate (plant-derived).
***Magnesium Myristate is the combination of Magnesium (a mineral) and Myristate, a fatty acid (naturally occurring). Magnesium Myristate will add adhesion, slip, a soft feel, and will help to repel water.
***Zinc Stearate is made from natural and essential raw materials.
***Fractionated Coconut Oil (we use this to bind our powders) - fraction of coconut oil comprised mainly of Capric and Caprylic Acid, thus giving it more of an antioxidant and disinfecting effect. Fractionated Coconut Oil has a long shelf life, stability, and rancidity resistance.
***Colored Micas add color, shimmer, and shine to the product.
***Nylon12 is a powder we use to help with slip in some of our deeper, more pigmented shades.
***Oxides are natural minerals and add color to the product; they also help to make the product opaque.
***Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Potassium Sorbate, Hexylene Glycol - Preservative we use to preserve our eyeshadows and make them last longer.

Somber is my Happy Place
Wow, this color has to be one of those surprises that even people who claim they don't like surprises will want! I thought the shade was going to be a bit darker but it is actually a very lovely mid-tone lavender purple taupe, I love experimenting with it over deeper darker colors, especial blues as it just seems to pop even more and bring the eyes to life. This one is going to be bringing me joy for a long long time - Somber, who?

Very dark colour, great for a night out or use a lighter spotlight colour on eye lid to make a more daytime look, great pigment and soft creamy formula as always

Beautiful product - a tad bit tough to work with
Love the color and wear of this eyeshadow, but it is a bit tricky to work with because it is so pigmented. Believe me when I tell you, a little goes a VERY long way! It took me several attempts to figure out just the right amount to achieve a nuanced look. It took a tiny dab with my brush for beautiful results. I'd suggesting starting with a tiny bit and adding to get the effect you're looking for. One other caveat is that I wish it were clear that these eyeshadows are individual pods that do not come with any kind of case - at all. They come in a cardboard envelope. I appreciate the small amount of packaging, but wish it had been more obvious in the product description. I had to buy a case, separately, but now all is good. :)

VERY pigmented, but nothing unique
You probably have something like this already in your collection, however, I am a big fan of Sydney Grace eyeshadows and really wanted some neutrals from the brand. This shadow did not disappoint!
